i'm listening to cake, but the only cake album that i own is fashion nugget.

the last time that i was in this same sort of mood (one where all i wanted to listen to was cake), my impulses were accommodated by dug's cd collection where, if one so desires, one can find every album that cake has ever put out. but now, i have only my own cd collection to rely upon. and i can't even find fashion nugget.

so, while i download songs-- one at a time, at 56.6kps-- i am listening to the beta band. but that's ok, because the beta band is good. also, in my cd collection, one can find every album that they have ever put out. so, i am accommodated. mostly.

the party was good. the party at rouge, it was good. i talked to the guy for about five minutes; the guy, he bought me a drink, and me, i gave him a couple of mixes, and that was it. now, i wait.

only six of my peoples showed up on friday. so, honestly, i won't be surprised if i never hear from him again. but, you know, i tried. also, some of my friends tried for me. especially jen. yes, i heart the jen. very much.

in the end i got about twenty six names in twenty four hours. i tried, but alot of people were ambivalent about going to a twenty dollar party that i wasn't even spinning at.

also, i found out a couple hours before hand that the guest list wasn't a full-on comp and that you had to arrive before a certain time and blah blah blah. in the end, there were too many qualifiers for too many people.

but, whatever. i hope i hear from him. i could rock that party like nobody's business. also, i would love to make all the pretty girls dance.

yeah. that would be fun.
