sigh. i am so very bored.
right now, at work. very bored.
the move went beautifully. quickly and beautifully. it only took us, in total, about four hours. four hours, which includes: picking up the ryder, loading boxes, driving to haight, unloading boxes, dropping off the ryder.
we were all pretty impressed with our speedy selves. we (apparently) move pretty quick.
and now, now i live in the lower haight. for the past couple of days, i have lived in the lower haight. and i love it. honestly, i love it.
yes, love it. also, here is a funny work related story:
today at the office, early in the day-- shortly after i arrived, still on my first cup of coffee-- an acquaintance-friend of my co-worker showed up (via the freight elevator) with a baby stroller full of levis. new levis, with all the tags still on.
this acquaintance-friend buried herself amongst the files and sold levis for twenty dollars a piece to a steady stream of hourly-wage paid staff-workers who strolled in and out for about an hour.
all the while, just across the hall, million dollar executives (up from down south) negotiated, planning out million dollar deals.
when i finally asked, "what the hell is going on?" my co-worker explained.
she said, "this girl here, she bought these jeans in la. and in la, things are less expensive. see, this girl here, she's selling these jeans at discounted los angeles prices."
sure.
all in all, it's a pretty funny story to tell. right? yeah.
also, there is now a new number one on my top five most ghetto-est moments of all time list.
